Job Description:
The Financial Credit Analyst position plays a critical role in the entire credit granting process,including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers,development of new and improved credit strategies, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.

  • Manage Credit Transactions
  • Review, evaluate and adjudicate a high volume of daily credit submissions
  • Recommend the appropriate transaction “risk based” pricing and credit structure
  • Identify transactions to be funded via BFC portfolio or third-party funding partners
  • Effectively manage a pipeline of “in credit” transactions in a timely manner
  • Become familiar with BFC’s core industry assets and business borrowers
  • Enhance Credit Process
  • Assist in the creation, enhancement, and ongoing maintenance of the company credit policy manual and procedures
  • Independently research and recommend asset classes appropriate for new business generation
  • Independently research and recommend credit tools, systems, and data to improve underwriting process
  • Maintain credit standards to ensure compliance with applicable laws
  • Credit Analytics
  • Assist in the development and ongoing enhancement of corporate credit scoring strategy
  • Use visualization tools to build dashboards and alerts to monitor key performance indicators
  • Make impactful insights from data sets and develop recommendations
  • Analyze credit data and portfolio performance to identify key credit and underwriting trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Credit Syndications
  • Manage relationships with syndicate bank relationships
  • Negotiate improved financing terms and conditions with syndicate bank partners
  • Identify new potential syndication bank programs and partners
  • Teamwork
  • Present your credit analytics findings and research to senior management
  • Participate in project management by collaborating with cross-functional business partners on new initiatives, project requests, prioritization, and delivery
  • Effectively work with senior management to identify and maintain a strong understanding of credit business requirements
  • Work with data analysts to create proper Tableau reporting, dashboards, and alerts
  • Effectively work with sales, collections, and lease administrative staff
  • Collaborate with application developers to fix and enhance credit underwriting technology platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree in a major relevant and applicable to this position
  • Successful completion of company application and assessment process
  • Strong analytical skills capable or identifying risks, trends, and opportunities
  • Ability to translate analysis results into clearly defined and implementable strategies/rules
  • Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, relationship building, and oral/written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills and proficient in use of technology
